Chaliapin Steak Don by Sudachi Recipes

Total preparation Time – 60 Min

Total Calories Per Serving –  774 kcal

This food is an authentic Japanese food that has been around since 1936.

It is in essence a bowl filled with shiso and umeboshi flavored rice and a delicious marinated steak.

If you have seen Food Wars you will have seen how absolutely delicious it looks in the anime.

It has a perfectly browned steam in red wine sauce and seasoning that brings out all the flavors of the dish.

If you really want to add some extra flavor to the steak you should add more onion as it can tenderize the steak and make it more delicious.

This dish is usually served in a bowl while it is piping hot. So once you are done cooking make sure to serve it up in a lovely ramen bowl, toss some garnish on top and enjoy a wondrous Food Wars meal!

Four Layered Semi Freddo by Crunchyroll

Total preparation Time – 750 Min

Total Calories Per Serving –  323 kcal

You will see this dish in Takumi’s Shokugeki episode and when you first see this dish you will absolutely want to try it.

But, this particular recipe is not as easy as you might think. It is actually quite challenging to make. But it is possible.

Usually, semi freddo will have three layers. A zabaglione, cream and meringue.

But in Food wars there is an additional layer that must be added and that is why it can be tricky to get right.

But with this recipe, you will be able to make your very own semi freddo and enjoy it.

Just bear in mind that it takes a lot of time to make this dish so be prepared to set a lot of time aside.

Gotcha Roasted Pork by Real Anime Food

Total preparation Time – 100 Min

Total Calories Per Serving –  426 kcal

This is one of the most popular dishes you will see on Food Wars and when you see how tasty and succulent the pork looks you will certainly see why.

When you are making gotcha roasted pork it is essential that you use a lifted pan as it will reduce the risk of your pork sitting in bacon fat.

In total gotcha, pork should not take too long but you will need to be prepared to cook your meat for quite a while depending on how large your cut of meat is.

When you serve this dish you should do it while the pork is piping hot, with a sauce and a side dish of your choice.

We recommend serving it along with some steak and broccoli.

Sumire Karaage Roll by Shokugeki no Soma

Total preparation Time – 85 Min

Total Calories Per Serving –  371 kcal

If you have seen Food Wars you will know that sumire karaage roll is a snack food that was used to bring business back to one of the districts in the anime.

This dish gets its name from the Japanese word karaage which in essence is a meat that has been deep-fried which has then been marinated and coated in whichever seasoning mix the chef has chosen.

The dish as a whole is a light dish that can be eaten while you are on the go.

This is the perfect dish to make if you want to make snacks for your friends or family that can be enjoyed while on the go.

It would be especially popular if the people you are cooking for are anime fans.

Transforming Furikake Rice by Feast of Fiction

Total preparation Time – 35 Min

Total Calories Per Serving –  231 kcal

One of the most flashy dishes in the Food Wars anime has to be the transforming furikake rice dish.

If you have seen the anime you will notice that it makes its appearance in episode two of season one.

The dish transforms as a result of the jello cubes of meat melting and changing the form of the egg.

For this dish in particular you will need to get several ingredients, most of which you can find at your local grocery store.

But, there will be some less popular ingredients that you will need to procure elsewhere.

We managed to find them at an Asian grocery market. So, try your luck there first.

When you are cooking we recommend using sesame oil in particular as it gives off an amazing nutty flavor and scent that just merges perfectly with the ginger and garlic.

Once you have cooked your transforming rice all you need to do is serve the dish while it is hot and watch for the magical moment when the meat cubes melt.

Eggs Benedict Don by Anime Kitchen

Total preparation Time – 75 Min

Total Calories Per Serving –  168 kcal

This dish is made by the main character in the finale of season one.

It is made up of several ingredients that may be quite hard to come by in your local supermarket which is why we recommend checking out an Asian market or shopping online for everything that you need.

The recipe itself is quite long and tedious but once you get everything done you will be left with an absolutely amazing dish that will change your life forever.

Once you have your components cooked we recommend starting your plating up process with some plain rice and then putting on the diced konbu. Once that is done, throw on some herbs and then put your tonkatsu on the rice.

Finally, you need to put the tempura egg on top of the tonkatsu with a little glaze and garnish to finish off your glorious eggs Benedict don. Enjoy!

Rainbow Terrine by Feast of Fiction

Total preparation Time – 60 Min

Total Calories Per Serving –  200 kcal

This is one of the hardest recipes to make in Food Wars, In our opinion at least.

It contains seven layers of vegetables that come with two different causes.

One is called bitter perilla and the other is sour sudachi. This means that you will have a total of fourteen flavors to contend with.

That is quite a lot. Because of this, the rainbow terrine is not a dish we recommend to new chefs.

This dish is quite beautiful to look at and if you get the seasoning just right you will have a wonderful and tasty dish.

Just keep in mind that it will take time and patience to get right.

French Curry Lobster Rice with Cognac by Shokugeki no Soma

Total preparation Time – 40 Min

Total Calories Per Serving –  761 kcal

Once you see this dish in the anime you will be absolutely desperate to try it out.

The main difficulty is that it looks so good that you will not want to eat it. This dish is a French brandy that works perfectly with the other ingredients.

The specific vintage is quite old and of extremely high quality which means that you will not be able to find it just anywhere.

But if you manage to find some and you have the budget you will find that it drastically improves the flavor profile of your lobster and rice dish.

If you are interested in trying out his amazing Food Wars dish then make sure to check out the recipe and give it a go!

Scorched Pacific Carpaccio by Kneading Love

Total preparation Time – 90

Total Calories Per Serving –  351

This dish is actually an Italian appetizer that one of the characters presents in the Food Wars anime.

One of the main things that the chef in the anime changes in this dish is the seasoning.

He uses Allspice which is a common seasoning many of us have in our cupboards.

Once you make this amazing dish you will not be disappointed. It tastes just as good as it looked in the anime.

So make sure to try it out when you get the chance!

Kozhi Varutha Curry by ChefMar

Total preparation Time – 60

Total Calories Per Serving –  355

Curry is a warming and tasty dinner that is always enjoyable when it is cold.

But when you see this curry in Food Wars you will be eager to try it out as soon as you can.

It combines coriander powder, garlic, ginger, onions, turmeric, salt, garam masala, coconut milk, chicken and other aromatic herbs and spices.

It is one of the simpler recipes from the anime and one that you can enjoy in less than an hour.

Yukihira Style Shalyapin Steak Don by A Taste of Anime

Total preparation Time – 10

Total Calories Per Serving –  737

This dish makes an appearance in episode seven of season one.

It is a deliciously savory meal that is made up of some locally sourced ingredients as well as a delicious slab of steak that has been cooked and tenderized to perfection.

When you are cooking this food you will need to make sure that the meat is fried with the onions so that it can absorb the flavor of the onions as well as the tantalizing scent that the caramelized onions give off.

When you are plating this dish it is recommended that you place the umeboshi paste rice first.

Make sure to use a donburi bowl. Next, place the meat on top and pour in the sauce.

You can put as much sauce in as you would like and when you feel that there is enough you can toss the garnish and spring onions on top.

You can adjust this recipe depending on your preferences but it remains true that this dish is absolutely amazing and one you certainly have to try out!

Revamped Mackerel Onigiri Chazuke by CHEFPK

Total preparation Time – 60

Total Calories Per Serving –  223

One of the fun things about Food Wars is the fact that they revamp a bunch of old and traditional recipes.

For example in episode five, you will come across this delicious dish.

To make this dish just like they did you will need Spanish mackerel filet, olive oil and rice balls.

You will also need a series of spices and seasoning to bring out the flavor of the fish.

But you can also alter the seasoning to suit your tastes so feel free to throw in some of your favorite herbs if it will make your dish taste better to you.

This is quite a simple meal to make so just make sure to follow the recipe as it prescribes and you will be well on your way to enjoying a fantastic anime inspired dish.

Apple Risotto by Feast of Fiction

Total preparation Time – 45

Total Calories Per Serving –  396

In the anime Food Wars this dish is considered to be one that is best enjoyed at breakfast. It is quite easy to make so you should have no trouble following the recipe.

If you are looking for a dish that is tangy, creamy and savory then make sure to try this fantastic dish. It is truly out of this world.

To make apple risotto you will need apple, bacon, white wine, lemon juice, cheese and several other ingredients. Just make sure to reference the recipe and you will be alright.

This is a fantastic dish which you can alter to your tastes when it comes to seasoning.

We recommend that you use margarine instead of butter, but that choice is up to you and what you prefer. Just have fun with it and change small bits to suit you.
